Welcome back to The Recap, everyone! You may have found yourself wondering where we went for the past couple weeks – to be honest, I was pretty under the weather and could barely crawl to my keyboard. I’m all better now, though!
Today is Cinco de Mayo! 🎉🪅🇲🇽
Did you know that, despite popular belief, Cinco de Mayo isn’t Mexico’s independence day? Rather, it is a commemoration of Mexico’s victory at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Celebrated more in the U.S. than in Mexico itself, Cinco de Mayo (lit. “the Fifth of May”) is referred to as El Día de la Batalla de Puebla (lit. “The Day of the Battle of Puebla”) in Puebla, Mexico, where the battle was held.
Did you also know that observance of the holiday began as early as the year after the battle, mainly among Mexican immigrants in California? However, it wasn’t until liquor advertisements in the 1980s began promoting Cinco de Mayo that it quickly became the nationwide celebration we have today! Just a lil’ history for ya.
Anyway, moving on…
These past couple weeks we spent focusing on better teaching our learners how to actually use our product. Let’s take a look!

Within the next few weeks we’ll be getting back into less-informational, more-innovative feature work. See you next Friday, and have a stellar week!
